A Few of Me Tomatoes

Such a bumper crop this year! Must have been the sheep poo. And so child-hood-memory tasty too!

  1. There's nothing better than home grown tomatoes. sheep poo? No, it's about growing varieties that taste and are not grown for transportation.

    1. True, Red. If only I could remember which ones I chose this time. I think it was Russian Red, and Potentate. Only two plants (although one was a grafted 'SuperTom') but so much fruit!

    1. I will never forget the moans when I ONCE made the children travel for THIRTY MINUTES in the same car as two supermarket bags of horse poo. They still remember it, 18 years later.

  6. I just love tomato sandwiches (lots of pepper) - don't tell me to add lettuce or any other ingredients! The only summer sandwich that eclipses tomatoes are cucumber sandwiches (And I am not English or go to the Queens garden parties). Cucumber sandwiches (lots of pepper) man, they take a lot of beating for wonderful eating.
